Today, there is a solution to the problems of sagging skin and body fat that cannot be solved by traditional weight loss methods such as diet and exercise. Liposuction and abdominoplasty are two methods used in this situation. Although abdominoplasty and liposuction have the same objective, they are different operations.

Liposuction (Fat Removal surgery) is a surgical procedure. It is applied to remove fat and adipose tissue.

On the other hand, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck Surgery) is the surgical method used for the solution of skin sagging in the abdomen or underbelly zone that cannot be solved with traditional weight loss methods.

Liposuction is a surgery performed only to remove excess fat from the body. Abdominoplasty, contrary, is a surgical procedure in which excess skin is cut and removed from the body. Furthermore, abdominoplasty can also restore muscles and reconstruct the belly button.

Abdominoplasty can be performed on women whose bodies have been deformed after childbirth or multiple pregnancies. On the contrary, liposuction cannot be performed on women who are pregnant or who have just given birth.

Abdominoplasty is performed only on the abdomen and stomach. Liposuction can be performed on the abdomen, hips, upper thighs, lower and inner legs, under the chin and neck.

After liposuction, the patient only stays overnight in the hospital. But after an abdominoplasty, this process changes from a few hours to a few days. The recovery process for liposuction is shorter than for abdominoplasty.
