Therefore, it is beneficial not to consume them for a week before surgery. Likewise, smoking and other tobacco use should be stopped 2-3 weeks before, as it delays wound healing. Apart from these, conditions such as high eye pressure, hypertension, thyroid, dry eye are conditions that increase the risk in eyelid aesthetic surgeries. If you have one of these chronic conditions, you should inform your doctor about this.

Healing Process After Eyelid Aesthetics

Most patients complete the recovery process within 1.5 to 2 weeks. However, full recovery may take several months. As the swelling and bruises disappear after eyelid surgery, the shape of the eyelids emerges. As a result, the face gains a more vigorous and youthful appearance.

During the eyelid aesthetics, lubricating ointment and cold compresses can be applied, and in some cases, your eyes can be loosely covered with a gauze pad after the procedure is completed.

During the healing process, there may be some swelling, bruising, irritation, dry eyes that can be controlled with medication, cold compress and ointment first. Irritation is also possible at the incision area.

You should wear black sunglasses for sun protection while working until the healing process is fully completed.

Apart from these, keeping the head high with a few pillows while resting after the procedure helps to reduce edema. In the first days after the procedure, there may be complaints such as tension, stinging, burning around the eyes. These complaints can be resolved with simple painkillers. After aesthetics, heavy sports, applications that increase edema such as solarium, sauna, sun bath and steam bath should be avoided for 6 weeks.
